Thank you 2009!

We had a wonderfully successful 2009! Cakes, pastries, pies, cookies, cupcakes....you name it! We were making it.

Some awesome combos were:

~Toasted Almond Cake, Amaretto soak, Caramel, and Bavarian Custard.

~Pink Raspberry Cake, White Chocolate Mousse with Crushed Raspberries, and rich Chocolate Ganache.

~Buttermilk Poundcake, Cognac soak, Brown Sugar Buttercream, and Apple Butter.

~Keylime Cake with Passionfruit Mousse and fresh Keylime Curd.

Not only were the flavors colorful, but the designs........ breathtaking!

One of our favorite Venues of the year was Claxton Farm.http://www.claxtonfarm.com/ The rustic and romantic setting was absolutly gorgeous with thte designs we created.

Welcome to our BLOG!

WELCOME! This is a non-computer savy Cake designer's first attempt to BLOG. Brace yourselves everyone!

This year is looking very busy. From Wedding Cakes at Castle Ladyhawke (www.castleeventsandweddings.com) near Tuckasagee, NC to sculpted Groom's Cakes at The Crest Center in Asheville, NC (www.thecrestcenter.com).

We are so excited to have had such a great success here in the mountains! We absolutely LOVE what we do and consider every bride as our #1 client.

Tad bit of info.:

JOIN US this April 18th, 2009 at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC where Hatch Asheville (www.hatchasheville.org) is holding their Closing Event. They have asked for us to design a sculpted cake for this event! HATCHfest is the first international mentoring festival for the creative and media arts communities. Cost is $25 per ticket, BUT, it includes networking with the most talented minds, eating yummy food (including a Chocolate Coconut Meringue Cake from us!), listening to some awesome musicians, and enjoying local brews.

LOOK FOR US at the Blue Jean Ball for Manna Foodbank this June 6th, 2009! All proceeds go to feeding the hungry families in Western North Carolina. Visit them at www.mannafoodbank.org for more details in how YOU can help us feed needing families!!

SEE US at the Wedding Festival Expo (www.weddingfestivals.com) at the Civic Center in Asheville this Septemberb 2009! This EXPO is fantastic for brides to get in touch with all the potential vendors they could ever want. It is also perfect for all the vendors to network and set up referrals with friendly competitors. :0)
